Many types of Health Insurance cover neuropsychological evaluation services but it is important to have this evaluation pre-certified by most insurance companies. We are new to Nevada at this point and are working on becoming credentialled with various insurance companies in Nevada. We do accept private payment for all services.
It is also important to have your healthcare provider make the referral as this usually helps establish the medical necessity of the evaluation. For that reason services related to parental custody or forensic issues are not covered. Forensically driven cases (i.e., TBI, neurological or psychological injury for either defense or plaintiff counsel) can be evaluated but only after a formal agreement has been established between Dr. English and the referring attorney. Medicare Insurance will be accepted starting in August 2020 as we are near completion with their (Medicare’s)credentialing process. At that time we should be able to see persons with Medicaid insurance as well.
Preparation For Appointments:
Download and complete History Form prior to appointment
Get a good night of sleep the day before your appointment
If you wear eyeglasses or have hearing aids have them with you for the appointment
Take your medications the day of the appointment unless advised not to take certain meds
Please have your completed history form with you at the time of your appoinment
